The basic strategy blackjack chart below will help you make the statistically best decisions for when to: Stand, Hit, Double Down, Surrender or Split when playing blackjack.

The basic blackjack strategy and the basic strategy blackjack chart are the most important things to know about blackjack. Playing according to a blackjack basic strategy chart is simply the best way to play every possible situation, without any knowledge of the distribution of the rest of the cards in the deck.

The following table is the basic blackjack strategy chart for 4 of more decks when the dealer stands on soft 17. This is very common variant of blackjack - in fact the most common blackjack game is the multiple deck game with 4 or more decks where the dealer stands on soft 17. So if you only want to memorize one blackjack strategy chart I would suggest the chart below. It can be played effectively under any variations of the blackjack rules.

You can print this blackjack chart off and tape it next to your PC: I am sure you will find that your losing streaks get shorter and your winning streaks get longer. However, you should be aware that the casino still has the edge in blackjack even if you use this (or any) blackjack strategy chart, though by playing according to the blackjack chart you minimize the casinos edge - and thereby maximize your chances of winning at blackjack.

To use the basic strategy, look up your blackjack hand along the left vertical edge and the dealer's up card along the top. In both cases an 'A' stands for Ace. From top to bottom are the blackjack hard totals, soft hands totals, and what blackjack hands you are allowed to split.

Note that blackjack rule variations can have an effect on some borderline situations. The most commonly changed blackjack rules are the number of decks used, whether the dealer hits or stands on a soft 17, and whether a double down is allowed after splitting a hand.

Where online are really good blackjack strategy charts? Recommended by good players? | Yahoo Answers

Looks like you already found yourself a good chart. Basic strategy is pretty solid, with a couple moves being "up to the player". The most famous of these is a 16 versus dealer 7 or higher. The decision is usually pick one and stick with it. I personally stay unless it's versus dealer Ace, and many of my friends always hit it.
Most casinos use anywhere between 4 and 8 decks in traditional blackjack. There are face down one deck blackjack tables at some casinos though.
